Sessions Judge Calls Upon Lawyers To Come Forward For Vaccination Too;130 Excise Personnel Vaccinated

Patiala, March 27: To ensure complete shield for judiciary and lawyers working in district courts, District and Sessions Judge, Rajinder Aggarwal along with two additional District Judges Kewal Krishan and Shiv Mohan, led the Vaccination drive by getting them inoculated at Tripuri Community Health Centre today.

Mr Aggarwal said that the vaccination process was very simple and safe and he had to stay there for merely half an hour to complete the observation period as a precautionary measure.  He said that all the judicial officers working in Patiala Sessions Division should get a jab of vaccination to prevent the contagion of CORONAVIRUS. He said that not only judicial officers rather advocates practicing in the district courts should also get the vaccine at nearby hospitals cum vaccine centers. SMO Tripuri Dr. Vikas Goyal said that today two advocates also got the jab. SMO Model Town CHC, Dr Prince Sodhi said that in the jurisdiction of Model Town CHC, about 500 persons got the jab including teachers from Model Town, Civil Line, Multipurpose Schools.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Satinder Singh said that with the increase in the number of vaccination centers from 78 to 126, now more eligible persons can get vaccination to prevent COVID. He said that as there is no treatment of COVID so far, hence vaccine is the only preventive measure for the frontliners, senior citizens, comorbid above 45 years old. From April 1, as per the guidelines of the state health department, we are also going to inoculate the persons having age above 45 even not co-morbid, he said. Apart from that, if any particular locality or area having more than 50 eligible persons willing to get vaccination, a number of mobile teams have also been formed so that all eligible persons can get the jab in time. Following the yesterday meeting of Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit with all the departments, today about 130 Excise personnel including AETC Manohar Singh, were given vaccine at the Excise office.
