
Congress leader Pargat Singh today said that the partydoes not need Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s advice on the ongoingpolitical crisis in Punjab, adding that their 'fight is over several issues.'
“We don't need to take Kejriwal's advice. We will work inthe best interests of Punjab... Our fight is over several issues. It's notfocused on a particular personality,” he said talking to a reputed mediaagency.
The statement comes a day after the national convener ofAam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal backed Navjot Singh Sidhu and advised newPunjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi to remove the tainted officials from hisgovernment.
Kejriwal on Wednesday said, “I congratulate Channi Sahabon his election as Chief Minister. I'd like to advise him that he is alleged ofinducting tainted ministers into his cabinet and elevating tainted officers.I'd request him to sack them and take necessary actions”.
He gave CM Channi a five-point agenda to act. Kejriwaladvised CM Channi of taking action on Bargari incident, fulfill the promisesmade by Capt Amarinder, give unemployment allowance to the unemployed and waivethe loans of farmers, cancel the power purchase agreement and sack taintedofficials.
Arvind Kejriwal who is on his two-day visit to Punjab islikely to make some big announcements today. On Wednesday he claimed that AAP“will give Punjab a CM face that will make everyone proud.”
As per sources, Arvind Kejriwal will hold a pressconference today and might announce AAP’s CM face for Punjab.
