TheEducation Secretary, Krishan Kumar, has come forward to lend new dimension tothe ongoing enrollment drive "Each One, Bring One".

Hepaid obeisance at Gurudwara Sahib situated at village Baran in the districtPatiala in the morning and made an announcement to mobilise people to get theirwards admitted in the government schools.

Inhis appeal, the Education Secretary, while making the people aware about thestate of the art infrastructural facilities as well as qualitative improvementin the teaching-learning process in the government schools urged them to availthe benefit of the quality education facilities to ensure better careeropportunities as well as overall personality development of their children.

Besides,the Department of School Education has launched a massive drive to sensitisepeople about the revolutionary changes in the government schools, which havebeen converted into Smart Schools both in infrastructural facilities andquality in education.

Theofficials of the education department, school heads, teachers and non teachingemployees have been going door to door, staging Nukkad Nataks, using publicaddress system of religious places, releasing audios and videos of promotionalsongs, holding "Enrollment Camps” affixing flexes at public places,releasing e-prospectus, holding awareness rallies and meetings, announcementsthrough cycle rickshaws etc. in their respective areas to highlight theirdistinctive achievements. Besides, a programme "Naviayan Pairhan" hasbeen started on DD Punjabi, promotional programmes on various Radio Channels,broadcasting of announcements at main bus stands are also going on.

TheEducation Department has also been making optimum utilisation of the socialmedia. All the good practices are being shared extensively through varioussocial media tools like Facebook pages of the schools, Whatsapp groups,comprising students, parents, SMCs, panchayats and different sections of thesociety, formulated by all the schools.
