Edu Secy visits govt schools in Sangrur & Patiala, motivates teachers, students for 'Mission Shat Pratishat'

The Secretary School Education, Krishan Kumar, today conducted motivational visits of government schools in Sangrur and Patiala.

He visited different schools including Government Primary and Senior Secondary Schools, Laadbanjara Kalan, Government Primary and Middle Schools, Kalajhar, all in district Sangrur and Government Senior Secondary School, Fatehgarh Chhana, Government Primary and Senior Secondary Schools, Gajewas, Government High School, Mavi Kalan, Government High and primary Schools, Madanheri in district Patiala.  

He interacted with the school staff, students, SMCs, prominent personalities at different schools to take stock of the progress of “Mission shat Pratishat" and “Each One and Bring", currently in focus to achieve better results in the ensuing Board examinations as well as to increase enrollment.

He also took stock of the various projects as well as innovative activities launched by the department for sprucing up infrastructural facilities and quality in teaching-learning in government schools. The projects include Smart Schools, Sohna Furniture, Civil works, Playgrounds, English Booster Clubs, Buddy Groups, Each One, Ask One, Optimum utilisation of latest digital applications including Punjab Educare app.

Exhorting the teachers, students and SMC members to ensure meticulous adherence to the COVID-19 precautions, Krishan Kumar lauded initiatives, including, micro planning, extra classes, and morning wake up calls being adopted for achieving “Mission Shat Pratishat".

The consistent, concerted and dedicated efforts of the school teachers to transform the unprecedented  challenge posed by the pandemic COVID-19into an opportunity to explore new vistas of digital education to make the "Ghar Baithe Sikhiya" programme, launched during lock down period to reach out to the students via TV/ Radio, Whats App, Youtube, Google class rooms , has virtually brought in a positive change in the mind set of the society", said Krishan Kumar while exhorting them to gear up for reaping the harvest of the commendable work done by them.

“The people especially the target section of the society should be sensitised about the drastic changes in infrastructural, quality education and student welfare facilities for mobilising parents to get their wards enrolled in government schools”, he added.
