Civil War in Pakistan

Imran Khan supporters storm inside Pak Army General's house; Salman Ghani sacked for refusing to shoot them

A threat of civil war is looming in Pakistan ever since the Rangers arrested Imran Khan from Islamabad High Court in dramatic style. Imran Kha's arrest on May 9 triggered unrest in the country. Imran Khan supporters took the streets and vandalized public properties. Not only this, they even invaded Army Headquarters and robbed multiple Pakistani Army General's houses. Amidst the massive turmoil, the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared Imran Khan's arrest illegal and the next day, Islamabad High Court granted him bail in all cases. There were reports which say that the Chief Justice of Pakistan's wife is a PTI member hinting that Imran Khan's release was biased.

For the unversed, Iman Khan was ousted from power as Pakistan's Prime Minister in April last year after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership, which he alleged was part of a US-led conspiracy targeting him because of his independent foreign policy decisions on Russia, China and Afghanistan.
