Expansion of Punjab Cabinet: Mann govt to have 5 new ministers; 2 second time MLA can also get the chair

5 new ministers will be inducted in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government headed by CM Bhagwant Mann.

The Punjab government will shortly expand its cabinet. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by CM Bhagwant Mann will appoint 5 new ministers. Two of these ministers will be those who will be elected for the second time. Among them, Aman Arora, Professor Baljinder Kaur and Sarvjit Kaur Manuke are in the race for the ministerial post.

Kultar Sandhwa and Jaikishan Rodi are two of the people who were elected to the assembly for a second time. They now hold the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker. Meet Hayer and Harpal Cheema have also already attained the position of minister. In this context, CM Bhagwant Mann and party leader Arvind Kejriwal met in Delhi Wednesday for a three-hour strategy meeting. Raghav Chadha, a member of the Rajya Sabha, was also present.

Ex-IPS officer and AAP’s MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap can also get a ministry in the expansion of the cabinet. There is just one woman minister in the government, Dr. Baljit Kaur. The extension of the cabinet will add another female minister. A minister can be made from the Amritsar district in addition to two second-term MLAs. Newly appointed ministers can be given important responsibilities. Especially big departments like health and local government are with the CM right now.
