During the Covid pandemic, the Bhargo camp police raided the house in Kot Sadik which belonged to a  man named Golu. There Sheetal along with 10 other individuals were arrested under suspicions of gambling. Police seized nearly 2 lakhs and 595 rupees in cash from the house. A total of 13 individuals were arrested.

At the time, Sheetal was with the BJP and also a former member of the national executive of the SC front. His arrest caused a ruckus outside the Bhargo Police station following which the police had to step in and control the situation.
