Fans react to Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ Lord Shiva avatar, call him ‘unstoppable’

The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam alongside Kumar.

Akshay Kumar has unveiled new posters of his upcoming film OMG 2 leaving fans excited. The film is a sequel to his 2012 film OMG - Oh My God! Here Akshay in one of the posters can be seen in a look inspired by Lord Shiva. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam alongside Kumar. The original film featured actors Paresh Rawal, Mithun Chakraborty, Mahesh Majrekar in pivotal roles.

Taking to his social media account, Akshay shared an update on the film. Sharing the film’s posters, the actor wrote, “'Karta kare na kar sake shiv kare so hoye’. Need your blessings and wishes for #OMG2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. May the eternal energy of Adiyogi bless us through this journey. Har Har Mahadev.”

In the poster, Akshay has donned long hair resembling that of Lord Shiva with blue skin and with his eyes closed. In the second poster, a silhouette of a school student is seen sitting at the bottom and on top of the poster is written, ‘Rakh vishwas, tu hai shiv ka das’.  While a blue hand, probably of the god, is seen holding the hand of the young boy.

OMG 2 team has wrapped up the Mumbai schedule with Yami and Pankaj and Akshay will soon join them for the Ujjain schedule. According to a report, director Amit Raj began the shooting in September. 
 
OMG – Oh My God! was a satirical 2012 comedy-drama film written and directed by Umesh Shukla in which Paresh Rawal played the role of a common man who sued God for destroying his shop in a quake. Akshay Kumar played the role of Lord Krishna while Mithun Chakraborty was seen playing a seer, Leeladhar Swamy.
 
Meanwhile, Akshay fans are impressed by his looks and the posters. Several users took to Twitter and had already made the poster a big hit. 
Sharing the posters released by Kumar, netizens expressed their feelings about the film and also showed their support.

“AKSHAY KUMAR as LORD SHIVA in #OhMyGod2 #OMG2, This man is unstoppable,” wrote a user. Another wrote, Is there any character this man can't conquer?? Best in the town #OMG2 #OMG.” Some wrote that they are super excited about the film while some expressed how Akshay deals with Hinduism and how other Bollywood does. “Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva in #OMG2 .Can't Believe It,” tweeted another.
