Farmers protesting in Delhi have called off their march to Parliament on February 1 after the unrest on Republic day, January 26. Cracks are visible in the farmers unions because it has been reported that two of the many unions have opted out of the protest of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM).

As farmers have camped on the outskirts of Delhi at three prominent sites: Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur. Although, now as per media reports, the protesters have dispersed after the ruckus during the tractor parade. They felt the unrest worked against their larger goal and they don't have anything left in their defence.

Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), the umbrella body under which all the unions have unified, condemned the unrest and violence on January 26. SKM leaders say the unions will organize hunger strikes on Saturday but as such no plans are laid for the incoming Monday.

The farmers on the vanguard during protest are also of the view that the ruckus created by some should not be treated as an excuse to label everyone participating in the protest as defaulters.
