The BKU Ugrahan and BKU Dakaunda (Dhaner faction) on Wednesday announced that they will block railways track in Punjab and various other locations in solidarity with farmers marching towards Delhi. Thousands of farmers are trying to reach Delhi under 'Delhi Chalo' to protest against the Government of India to ask for a legal guarantee on MSP among other demands. While the farmers' march has already disrupted the traffic, BKU's rail roko or BKU's railway blockade in Punjab will disrupt Delhi's connection with Punjab and other states. As per reports, 10 sites have been finalised by the BKU where they will block the railway tracks. Below are Railway Track block locations in Punjab and services disrupted because of it-

As per reports, nearly 10 protest sites have been finalised for the rail roko protest in which the BKU Ugrahan and BKU Dakaunda (Dhaner faction) will participate jointly, and more locations are likely to be added by evening.

 

As per the last update, Rajpura, Sunam (near Shambu and Khanauri borders, respectively), Jethuke village in Bathinda, Moga, Mansa, Malaut, Valla railway crossing in Amritsar, Barnala, Sangrur, Budhlada have been selected as the rail roko protest locations. Punjab railway block will affect the Amritsar-Jalandhar-Delhi line, the Mansa-Bathinda-Delhi line, the Ludhiana-Ferozepur line, and many other locations. 

 

Now, the question arises what are the alternatives to go to Delhi? The answer is by vehicles but with a diverted route

2. Chandigarh to Delhi via- Panchkula- Barwala- Yamunanagar- Ladwa- Indri- Karnal ..The same routes can be used for travelling from Delhi to Chd."
