Actor-producer Amir Khan and wife Kiran Rao on Saturday announced that they were ending their 15 years long marriage and in a joint statement said that they will be co-parenting their son, Azad.
As soon as the news was out, it took over social media like wildfire and memes targeting Amir Khan started to overflood on Twitter.
Amir's close friend Amin Haji has revealed that troubles in the power couple's marriage began during the pandemic in January and February. According to Haji, Amir was unable to give time to the family due to his busy work schedule, adding that the divorce decision was taken after a lot of thought.
He further said that the presence of another woman in Amir's life is being speculated that has resulted in their separation. However, it is wrong to defame the actor, Haji said.
Meanwhile, Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has been trending on Twitter after Aamir and Kiran announced their divorce. The reason behind this is the alleged link-up rumours of Fatima with Aamir. Rumours of the actress dating Aamir right after the success of Dangal had made headlines back then. However, Fatima has brushed off all the rumours.
Some sources had said that Aamir came closer to Fatima and it is said that Aamir may have included the casting team to sign Fatima for Thugs of Hindustan. Kiran Rai then refuted all these claims, saying that the casting was entirely done by the YRF team. She was also given special attention in the film, which announced other co-stars of the film. Nevertheless, all these have no evidence and are just spread through words.
Fatima had then said that rumours of her affair with Aamir affect her. Aamir Khan is her mentor and she respects him for the man he is.
