The people of India have a totally different craze for hockey as it is the national sport of the country. This time hockey world cup will be hosted in India and before that the trophy will be taken to different states of the country.
The FIH Hockey World Cup Trophy was welcomed at Amritsar airport on 14th December 2022. The trophy was received by Punjab Hockey President Nitin Kohli along with other dignitaries. As per the schedule, at 10:45 am trophy welcome function will be conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University will take place. The trophy will then be taken to Shri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. From there trophy will be taken at Jallianwalah Bagh. From there it will be taken to Durgiana Temple, Amritsar. Furthermore, the trophy will be displayed at VM Mall Amritsar for public. Then in the evening Hockey World Cup trophy will be handed over to Haryana.
