In a massive development, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has filed a complaint against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Officials in Dhurwa police station. Ranchi Police have confirmed that a complaint to register an FIR against ED officials has been sent by the Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. The complaint has been received at Dhurwa police station. FIR against ED officials comes in the backdrop as the Central Agency has amped up its crackdown on Jharkhand CM in a money laundering case. The JMM leaders believe that Hemant Soren will soon be arrested by the ED due to political vendetta and therefore, they have reportedly formulated a plan B to make Soren's wife Kalpana as new CM of Jharkhand.

Notably, Jharkhand politics intensified after ED officials conducted raid at Hemant Soren's Ranchi as well as Delhi residence. Not only this, ED seized Rs 36 lakh cash, two BMW SUVs and documents from Hemant Soren's Delhi residence. Furthermore, ED sources were quoted by multiple portals saying that Hemant Soren was missing and not tracable. However, Soren mailed to ED that he will appear before them on January 30. Hemant Soren then appeared before the ED in Ranchi and was questioned for almost 8 hours. Again. On January 31, 2024, ED sleuths have reached to Soren's residence to continue the questioning.

JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya on Tuesday during a press conference said, "I told you yesterday that CM has gone to Delhi for his personal reasons and would return after his work is done. He is not just a CM but an institution. He is a prime institution of the state. The statements made by the BJP are completely applicable to CrPC 499, which means defamation...We will soon register the criminal case against the president and MP of the main opposition party." Supriyo had also slammed the ED for conducting raids at CM Soren's house.
