The Kapil Sharma Show has been charged of making the performers appear to be under the influence of alcohol in a courtroom scene in one of the episodes. The actors, according to the complainant, disrespected the court.

The producers of the Kapil Sharma Show are now facing charges after a FIR was filed against them at the district court of Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. The lawsuit was brought in response to an episode of the Sony television show in which the performers were seen drinking on stage while playing a courtroom scenario. The actors, according to the complainant, disrespected the court.

An FIR has been filed in the CJM Court by a Shivpuri lawyer. On October 1, the case will be heard. “The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV is really sloppy,” the lawyer stated. They also make derogatory remarks about women. A court was set up on the stage in one of the episodes, and the performers were observed consuming alcohol in public. This is a clear case of contempt of court. That is why I have asked the court to file a FIR against the offenders under Section 356/3. It's time to put an end to this sloppiness.”

The case concerned an episode that was aired on January 19, 2020, and was re-aired on April 24, 2021. The lawyer argues that in the episode, a character is shown in a courtroom set under the influence of alcohol. This, he claims, has brought the disgrace to the court.

Comedian Kapil Sharma hosts The Kapil Sharma Show. Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri, and Archana Singh feature alongside Kapil in the episode. On August 21, TKSS returned to television screens after an almost seven-month break.
