A major fire broke out at Harkishan Public School located in Amritsar on Wednesday.
According to sources, the fire took place due to a short circuit in smart board. As soon as the fire broke out, all the students were taken out of the classrooms safely.
Panic gripped the town after several persons were feared dead in the blaze, however, the latest report confirmed that everyone has been evacuated and no casualty has been reported. In time the fire was brought under control by the school administrators and a major accident was avoided.
Earlier, it was reported that several students and school staff were stuck on the premises but as per the latest reports, everyone has been evacuated safely.
