Hailing from Amritsar, Punjab Roop Kamal has been makingmasks and delivering them to people ever since the pandemic COVID began.
Her efforts have earned her the name of “Mask Woman.”
In one year, her efforts have seen the production anddistribution of more than 3 lakh face masks and more than 1 lakh shield masks.
She believes that face masks are essential to prevent the spreadof the virus, but poor people are unable to arrange one for their use.
So, working round the clock she is making and distributingmasks.
Not only this initiative, but Roop Kamal is a working womanand does household chores also.
She is disappointed with authorities that from the lastone-and-a-half year she is supporting her efforts financially all by herselfand Just Sewa Society.
This is a labour of love for Roop Kamal and she feels contentthat she is helping people in these times of the pandemic.
