Former CM Channi's sister-in-law resigns as the SMO: Health minister furious over hospital's condition; transferred her after 2 days

The SMO received criticism for neglecting the maintenance of the hospital

Punjab Health Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra's strictness has also fallen on former CM Charanjit Channi's sister-in-law. Dr. Maninder Kaur, the wife of Dr. Manohar Singh, the brother of the former CM Channi, has left her position. She was posted as Senior Medical Officer in Kharar Civil Hospital.

Chetan Singh Jauramajra, the health minister, examined Kharar Hospital a few days ago. The SMO received criticism for neglecting the maintenance of the hospital. Dr. Maninder was subsequently moved from Kharar to Dhanaula in Barnala.

On July 20, Health Minister arrived at Kharar Hospital. Anmol Gagan Mann, a local MLA and minister of tourism, was also there. During this, the minister told the SMO a lot about the cleanliness of the hospital.

Dr. Maninder Kaur's husband Dr. Manohar Singh also contested the Punjab Assembly elections. He also resigned from his position as SMO because of this. He was demanding a Congress ticket from Bassi Pathana. After not getting the ticket, he fought independently but lost. He expected that CM Charanjit would win from Channi's popularity but Channi also lost the election from 2 seats.

Dr. Maninder Kaur said she has chosen to resign from her position for personal reasons. She resigned 10 days ago. She has worked for 22 years. Now the duty of 3 months of the notice period will be done. She did not react to the health minister's checking incident.
