Konijeti Rosaiah, The former CM of Andhra Pradesh and Governor of Tamil Nadu passed away at the age of 88 in Hyderabad on December 4. He was one of the most respected and senior leaders of Congress and well-known for his simplicity and great principles. During the initial hours of December 4, his family took him to a hospital when they found his blood pressure going down severely. On arriving at the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Konijeti Rosaiah was a die-hard follower of N. G Ranga (an Indian freedom fighter). A man of principles, he had a great influence of Gandhian Philosophy over him. Even though he had a long political life of over Five Decades, he never caught himself into controversy. 

During his political career starting in 1968 as an MLC, he served many portfolios under the leadership of M.Chenna reddy, T Anjaiah, and Kotla Vijaya Bhasker Reddy among others.

The respected leader was born in the Guntur district on July 4, 1933. He is a revered political leader. He had been elected as an MP as well as an MLA from the Chirala assembly constituency. 

He had also served as the Governor Of Tamil Nadu in 2011. In the year 2009, he was sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh following the death of Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy. During his term as the CM of Andhra Pradesh, he focussed more on the political stability of the state. He served many portfolios during his mint including minister for transportation, home, and minister for finance. 

He is also remembered for the efficacious management of flood situations by him in Andhra Pradesh (unified) in the year 2009. He resigned from the post of Chief Minister on 24 November 2010 due to some health-related issues.
