Jalandhar’s Former BJP President Shiv Dyal Chugh was found dead on a rail track near Jalandhar Cantt on late Sunday evening, with sources close to the former president claiming he died by suicide.
According to sources, Chugh had left his house around 8 am in the morning but did not return home, following which his family members started searching for him. In the evening, the Government Railway Police (GRP) reported having found a mutilated body from the railway track at Jalandhar Cantt, after which the district police started investing the case to find the identity of the deceased. Later, his family members confirmed his identity.
If sources are to be believed, Jalandhar’s Former BJP President Shiv Dyal Chugh has committed suicide due to some family disputes. However, the family members of Shiv Dyal Chugh are yet to ascertain the reason behind the death if it’s an accident or suicide.
Shiv Dyal Chugh holds more than 40 years’ experience in the business of Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC). He was actively involved in social, educational and business organizations. He was also promoter of the PHF Group companies like PHF Investments Limited, PHF Hire Purchase Limited and PHF Finance Limited.
Further, he was presently serving as the Director of Finance Industry Development Council, Mumbai and Vice President of Punjab Haryana Finance Companies Association. He was also the President of Jalandhar Financiers Association.
Shiv Dyal Chugh had also been the President of Federation of Indian Hire Purchase Association, Chennai for the year 2007-08. He was Assistant Governor of Rotary International District-3070 for the year 2003-2004.
