In a sad development Jalandhar’s former Mayor Sunil Jyoti passed away on Tuesday after suffering from prolonged illness. Along with being a mayor, he was also the BJP leader. Sunil Jyoti was going through an illness related to heart. He was diagnosed with the illness during the election campaign in Himachal Pradesh. Since then he was not keeping well.
Sunil Jyoti, a two-time councillor from ward number 5, was a close confidant of local MLA and chief parliamentary secretary KD Bhandari.
