It seems that the Aam Aadmi Party is all set to make history and storm into power in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann is leading from Dhuri District. According to the Exit Polls, AAP may emerge as the single largest party in Punjab and this prediction will become true as per the initial trends.

While Kejriwal remains the key face of AAP, the party's chief minister candidate Bhagwant Mann, despite being a controversial figure, can very well prove to be the trump card for AAP in Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann of 'AAP' has a long history of controversies. He is not only famous for his comedy but also remains in the headlines in politics. Here are some of his famous controversies:

1. In December 2021, MP Bhagwant Mann got entangled with the media persons. The meeting was held at the party's state office in Mohali. After that, he was talking to reporters. He was asked that Shiromani Akali Dal is giving dharna on various issues, what the Aam Aadmi Party is doing. Mann suddenly lost his cool on this question. He said objectionable words to SAD President Sukhbir Badal and stood up and started taunting the journalist. He said that you have taken the contract to ask all the questions. Hearing this, the journalists also got furious and started opposing Mann's attitude. AAP leaders also tried to pacify Mann. After that Mann left from there.

2. In 2019, during a party rally at Barnala, Mann announced that he had denounced alcohol and swore never to touch it again, after being criticized for his drinking. Earlier in 2018, Mann resigned after Arvind Kejriwal tendered an unconditional apology to Bikram Singh Majithia over the drug mafia case.

3. In July 2016, Bhagwant Mann during a rally said that every MP should have a daily dope test. With this, all the truth of those who defame him without any reason will come in front of the public. He was commenting on the allegations of MP Harinder Singh Khalsa when he made this statement.

4. In October 2015, Bhagwant Mann had reached the martyrdom ceremony organized in Punjab in connection with the sacrilege of the holy form of Guru Granth Sahib. The smell of alcohol from Mann garnered a lot of criticism. Mann was removed from the stage by activists of the Sikh Jathebandis and later he was forced to leave the venue itself.

5. In July 2014, Bhagwant Mann targeted BJP and Congress during a discussion on Delhi's budget. Taking a jibe at Lalu Prasad Yadav, he said Lalu has more children than the Congress MLAs who talk about development in Delhi. This statement of Bhagwant Mann caused a lot of uproar in the Lok Sabha.
