GNA Enterprises Owner's Son Suicide Case: Gurinder Singh shoots himself after loss in business due to lockdown

Gurinder Singh, Son of the famous GNA Enterprises located in Phagwara Road of Jalandhar died by suicide on Tuesday. Gurinder Singh was the son of Guru Nanak Enterprises group's owner Jagdish Singh. Going by the reports, Gurinder was upset for the past several days due to a decline in business due to the Coronavirus lockdown. 

GNA Enterprises manufactures axles and parts for luxury cars, which are supplied in many countries of the world. The annual turnover of his company is said to be close to Rs. 500 crores. His wife Amardeep Kaur said business had declined during Corona. Due to this, Gurinder used to remain very upset. Due to this, Gurinder had increased the consumption of alcohol. On Tuesday night, his father Jagdish Singh and she tried to make him understand. However, he ultimately shot himself with his licensed pistol.

Gurinder, underwent surgery in Jalandhar and the bullet was removed but he succumbed to his injuries at around 12:30 pm. Goraya Police station filed a report under Section 174 of the CrPC and handed over the dead body to the relatives after the post-mortem.

Gurinder was the director of an automobile parts manufacturing company, his father is the firm’s managing director.
