Government of India has issued a travel advisory for Indian tourists visiting Turkey over the situation in the Middle East nation following tensions with the US.
In the advisory, the government has said that it has been receiving queries from several Indian nationals who are travelling to Turkey about the situation in the country.
"Although there have been no reports of any untoward incident in the country so far involving Indian nationals, travellers are requested to exercise utmost caution while travelling to Turkey," read the advisory.
The government has asked Indian nationals travelling to Turkey to get in touch with the Indian missions posted there for any assistance.
This comes amid tensions between the US and Turkey growing after President Donald Trump decided earlier this month to withdraw all 1,000 US troops from the region, a move widely criticized as a betrayal of Kurdish allies who had fought for years alongside US forces against Islamic State.

The deadline for the withdrawal of Kurdish fighters from areas in northeastern Syria expired on Tuesday, as part of a 120-hour suspension agreed between Ankara and Washington.
"It started at 10 pm Thursday... so it finishes at 10 pm Tuesday," the source said on Monday.
Following the withdrawal, Turkey wants to set up a 120-kilometre (75-mile) "safe zone" between Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain, they added, saying this will then be extended to 444 kilometres.
Turkey on October 9 launched a cross-border offensive supporting Syrian rebel groups against the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia, viewed by Ankara as "terrorists".
On the other hand, Turkish President Erdogan has come out in support of Pakistan on the Kashmir issue and also raised the topic at the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
Turkey has also backed Pakistan at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) meet in Paris where Pakistan managed to evade the blacklist for its support to terror activities on its soil.
