Godfather OTT Release Date: When & where to watch Chiranjeevi's action-thriller on the web space

The Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi’s recent theatrical hit GodFather after an impressive stint at the box office is all set to stream on the web space this week. Tied up with the global OTT giant Netflix, the makers have given a date for it release.

Godfather which is a remake of the Malayalam hit movie Lucifer was released on October 5th in the big screen. The movie is directed by Mohan Raja and also stars the likes of Satyadev and Nayanthara in the lead.

Netfilx came up with the announcement of the movie’s release on the platform through a post on their Instagram handle that read, “The megastar of Tollywood meets the megastar of Bollywood! #Godfather is coming to Netflix on the 19th of November!”

The film gained lots of accolades and credits across the region owing to its beautiful plot and the acting of its cast. It opened to a positive response on October 5. The film, which also features Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in an extended cameo, was released in Hindi as well.

Chiranjeevi while promoting the film revealed how Salman Khan agreed to get on board soon after the makers proposed his presence in the film. Chiranjeevi told Film Companion that he sent a message to Salman, who immediately replied to him, “Yeah, yeah Chiru Garu, what do you want?”

Chiranjeevi went on to say, “I told him it’s a small character but very respectable, and you can watch Lucifer in case you want. He said, ‘No, no Chiru Garu, I am doing it. Just send your person, and we will discuss dates and everything.’ Within 2-3 minutes he agreed.”

The movie GodFather has a promotional song titled “Thar Maar”, which presents Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan together. The track of this song has been composed by S Thaman and has been immensely loved by the fan base based both in the Telugu and the Hindi-speaking belt.
