The denial of entry to a girl in the Golden Temple is turning out to be a twisted affair. While at first the Golden Temple administration came under the scanner after a Sewadar named Sabjit allegedly denied entry to a girl into the Golden Temple because she had painted her face with the Tricolour saying that 'This is Punjab, not India', then after the video went viral, the SGPC apologized & also issued a clarification that the matter was related to dress code, not the Indian flag. While a section of media wanted the Sewadar to issue a public apology, another section of the media shared a video in which it was quite evident that people were angry at the girl who was wearing a frock and leggings underneath. Now, the SGPC has shared the Golden Temple CCTV footage in which the sewadar can be seen denying entry to the girl due to her clothing.

SGPC has shared CCTV Footage of the incident going viral from Golden Temple. The CCTV Footage shows Sewadar communicating with the girl and the girl then pulling down her leggings. Then interestingly, the shared CCTV jumps to a different angle of the very first video that went viral where the Sewadar was heard saying “This is Punjab, not India”. It’s worth noticing that the timestamp that is typical of CCTV footage is missing. Is it a justified explanation or a mere attempt at damage control?
