Indiaon Tuesday exposed Pakistan for hosting the largest number of terroristsproscribed by the United Nations and providing them pensions out of statefunds.

Thefirst secretary of Permanent Mission of India to the UN, Pawan Kumar Badhe saidthis in India's right of reply to statements made by Pakistan and the OIC underoral update by the high commissioner of human rights at UNHRC.

Pakistan'sdeliberate misuse of this august forum for its malicious propaganda againstIndia, aimed at diverting the attention of the Council from its own seriousviolations of human rights, has remained a constant, Badhe said.

Pointingout that Islamabad has provided pensions to dreaded and listed terrorists outof state funds, the Indian representative said that Pakistan has the dubiousdistinction of hosting the largest number of terrorists proscribed by theUnited Nations.

Pakistanileaders have admitted the fact that it has become a factory for producingterrorists, Badhe argued, adding that Pakistan has ignored that terrorism is theworst form of human rights abuse and the supporters of terrorism are the worstabusers of human rights.

TheIndian envoy urged the Council to ask Pakistan why the size of its minoritycommunities such as the Christians, Hindus and Sikhs has drastically shrunksince Independence and why they and other communities such as Ahmadiyyas,Shias, Pashtuns, Sindhis and Baloch, have been subjected to draconian blasphemylaws, systemic persecution, blatant abuses and forced conversions.

Holyand ancient sites of religious minorities in Pakistan have been attacked andvandalized, he pointed out. Enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings andarbitrary detentions of those who try to speak against the establishment arerampant in Pakistan and have been carried out by the State's security agencieswith impunity, Badhe said.

TheIndian representative mentioned that recently, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, the keysuspect in the murder of the Wall Street Journal journalist, Daniel Pearl, wasallowed to go scot free.

Disappearancesand killings of Baloch human rights defenders, he said, shows that human rightsactivists are not safe, even after they leave Pakistan. Idris Khattak, a humanrights defender, who was picked up in November 2019, continues to be in secretdetention, Badhe recalled.

Pakistan,a country in dire economic situation, he said, will be well advised to stop wastingtime of the council and its mechanisms, stop state-sponsored cross-borderterrorism and end institutionalized violation of human rights of its minorityand other communities.

India,he said, rejects the reference to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir inthe statement of the OIC. It has no locus standi to comment on matters relatedto Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral and inalienable part of India. It isregrettable that OIC continues to allow itself to be exploited by Pakistan toindulge in anti-India propaganda, Badhe said.
