Govt School teachers & students from Nawanshahr excel at virtual National Toy Fair

The SCERT has invited online entries from different districts for participating in the National Toy Fair. As many as 15 Educational Toys were screened online.

In a matter of great pride for Nawanshahr district, the "Magic Square Game" prepared by Jatinder Singh Pabla (State Awardee), Math Master, Government Senior Secondary School, Mallupota and Mechanical Toys prepared by students of Government Senior Secondary School, Nawanshahr, have been selected for the first ever National Toy Fair being organised virtually from February 27 to March 4 under the aegis of NCERT.

The mechanical toys were prepared by students including, Jaswinder Singh, Gursimran Kaur, Isha under the guidance of their science teacher, Sanjiv Duggal. “The students and teachers expressed happiness over the achievement and said that the recognition have further motivated them to be self-reliant and take India towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’”, said Jagjit Singh, DEO.

District Education Officer(Secondary), Jagjit Singh, Deputy District Education Officer(Secondary), Amrik Singh, Principals, Narinder Singh and Sarbjit Singh, lauded the achievement of the teachers and students.
