Punjab Punjab-News Bhaiye-comment
PM Modi told the crowd in Abohar ahead of the Punjab elections that Congress constantly tries to set people from different regions against each other. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Priyanka Gandhi without mentioning her name, claiming that a member of a 'Delhi family' clapped over CM Channi's 'Bhaiyee' statements. He rebuked both Channi and Priyanka Gandhi, claiming that there isn't a single area in Punjab where people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar don't work hard.

PM slams on Punjab CM "bhaiye" remarks
"Where was Guru Gobind Singh born? In Patna Sahib, in Bihar. Will you throw Guru Govind Singh out of Punjab? People of such divisive mentality should not be allowed to rule Punjab even for one moment," said the Prime Minister.
PM Modi also mentioned Dalit Saint Guru Ravidas, whose birth anniversary was celebrated yesterday with different political figures suspending their campaigns to visit temples.
"Only yesterday we observed Sant Ravidas Jayanti. Where was he born? In Uttar Pradesh, in Varanasi. Will you remove Sant Ravidas from Punjab?" asked the PM.

Channi Remarks
While campaigning with Priyanka Gandhi yesterday, Mr. Channi commented on a roadshow.
"Priyanka Gandhi is Punjab's daughter-in-law, she is the bahu of Punjabis. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi ke bhaiye cannot come here and rule. We will not allow UP bhaiyas to stray into Punjab," Mr. Channi had said.
Priyanka Gandhi could be seen clapping and smiling. Supporters applauded and chanted, "Bole so nihal...".
