One of Bollywood's most beloved singers is all set to celebrate his 55th birthday. The actor is turning 55 this year. Shankar Mahadevan was born on 3 March 1967 in Mumbai’s Chembur. The singer learned Hindustani classical and Carnatic music at a very small age. 
 
The versatile singer, Shankar Mahadevan graduated in Computer Science and Software Engineering and worked as a software engineer for the company Leading Edge.
 
The singer not only gave his voice for Hindi songs but he sang in English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu, and Punjabi languages as well. In his career span of nearly 20 years, the actor has recorded over 700 songs so far.
