Punjab Farmers-Protest Delhi-Chalo-Movement

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday has once again lashed out at his Punjab counterpart, CM Capt Amarinder Singh and alleged political party for fanning the farmers' protest. CM Khattar has held Punjab CM responsible for the thousands of farmers heading towards the national capital to stage a protest there against the Centre's contentiously passed farm laws.

CM Khattar has also claimed that  "office bearers of the Punjab Chief Minister's Office" were leading the protest.

"Punjab farmers are protesting. Haryana farmers have stayed away. I thank Haryana farmers and police for showing restraint. Punjab Chief Minister is fanning this protest. Office bearers of the Punjab Chief Minister's Office are leading the protest," Mr. Khattar told reporters while addressing a press conference on the 'Delhi Chalo' movement.

Also, Mr. Khattar said that his state has some inputs of "some unwanted elements" raising pro-Khalistan slogans in the ongoing protests in and around the national capital.

Though, Haryana CM has refrained from disclosing more details as the information is not concrete.

"We've inputs of some such unwanted elements in-crowd. We've reports, will disclose once it's concrete. They raised such slogans. In the videos they said 'jab Indira Gandhi ko ye kr sakte hain, to Modi kyu nhi kr sakte' (When it can be done to Indira Gandhi, why not Modi?)," CM said.

Notably, Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her bodyguards in 1984 in the aftermath of Operation Blue Star.

Following the multiple inputs related to Khalistani terrorists and anti-social elements, Delhi Police is on high alert. Intelligence agencies had conveyed the inputs about pro-Khalistani groups is the disguise of farmers in the crowd, clash with police, and use retaliation to disturb law and order.
