"Have dignity, don't insult me after inviting": WB CM Mamata Banerjee refuses to speak at Netaji event after 'Jai Shri Raam' chants

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee does not think chanting 'Jai Shri Raam' is for the dignitaries. Mamata Banerjee on Saturday lashed out at people and refused to speak at an event to celebrate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary where "Jai Shri Ram" slogans were raised in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

When Banerjee came to give her speech at the  Victoria Memorial event to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter the audience started chanting Jai Shri Raam. Following this, Mamata Banerjee lost her calm and lashed out at people in the presence of PM Modi.

She said, "This is a government programme and not a political programme. There has to be dignity. It doesn't suit anybody to invite people and insult. I won't speak. Jai Bangla, Jai Hind."
