Headmasters association in Nawanshahr submits memorandum seeking reduction in probation period

The members demanded that keeping in view their teaching experience in the department, their genuine demand of reducing the duration of probation period from three years to one year should be accepted

A delegation  of Nawanshahr unit of Directly Recruited Headmasters Association, Punjab comprising Naveen Gulati, Amanpreet Johar (State Committee members)  Baljit Kumar, District President, Sukhwinder Kumar Press Secretary, among others, today, submitted a memorandum to the Chairman, District Planning Committee, Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki, urging the state government to reduce the duration of probation period to one year.

The delegation apprised him that before even clearing the competitive exam conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission for direct recruitment of headmasters, they had been serving the department for more than eight years. 

Therefore, keeping in view their teaching experience in the department, their genuine demand of reducing the duration of probation period from three years to one year should be accepted.

Meanwhile, Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki assured the delegation that their demand would be brought into the notice of the Chief Minister.
