The monsoon has finally arrived in North India. Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and other states of North India are witnessing torrential rainfall from time to time. Punjab districts like Jalandhar, Ludhiana, etc, witnessed overcast conditions on June 29 with isolated thunderstorms in some areas. Talking about Himachal Pradesh, the city of Shimla witnessed heavy rainfall on June 29, 2025. A 5-storey building collapsed on June 29 in Himachal Pradesh due to incessant heavy rainfall. In the meantime, the India Meteorological Department of Chandigarh unit has made fresh rainfall predictions in Punjab.
IMD Chandigarh, in its latest prediction on June 30, put at least 4 districts of Punjab on 'heavy to very heavy rainfall' alert. - July 1- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala.

Punjab Temperature
Due to isolated rainfall in various districts of Punjab, the daytime temperature of multiple districts has come down. At 40.8°C, Bathinda was the hottest district in Punjab on June 29. Amritsar- 33.9°C, Ludhiana- 32°C, Patiala- 30.2°C, Pathankot- 31.8°C, Faridkot- 37°C, Jalandhar- 32.9°C, Hoshiarpur- 30.8°C, etc.
