Here's the "personal reasons" for which Suresh Raina returned India

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Suresh Raina on August 29 has returned to India citing the "personal reasons." The official statement by CSK franchise also read that Raina will miss the entire season of IPL 2020 which is going to be conducted in UAE from September 19. 

Since the news broke out, many have been speculating and wondering about the certain reasons for his sudden comeback to the nation. 

Going by some of the media reports, Raina's uncle has died and his aunt is in critical condition after they were attacked by the unidentified miscreants earlier in August. 

Reportedly, the attack occurred on the midnight of August 19 when the family was sleeping on the terrace of their residence in Pathankot's Thariyal village. They were attacked with sharp weapons by the unidentified assailants.

According to the sources, Asha Devi, sister of Raina's father, is in critical condition and is battling for her life. Meanwhile, his uncle namely Ashok Kumar (58) has succumbed to his injuries. The former Indian cricketer's cousins - Kaushal Kumar (32) and Apin Kumar (24) have also attained injuries during the violent attack. 

Earlier, CSK CEO KS Viswanathan was quoted as saying in the tweet posted by the franchise, "Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time."

So far, however, no official statement has been made by the cricketer in this regard.
