Hockey India VP Nitin Kohli made official observer in UP Hockey Elections; Dr. R.P. Singh elected President

Hockey India Vice President and Punjab Hockey President Nitin Kohli played a key role as the official observer in the Uttar Pradesh Hockey elections held at the KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium on Sunday. The elections took place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of UP Hockey.

In a unanimous decision, former Indian hockey captain Dr. R.P. Singh was elected as the new President of Hockey Uttar Pradesh. Supporting the leadership team, Abhijit Sarkar was appointed Senior Vice-President, while Rajnish Mishra and Nisha Mishra took charge as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

Also present at the election proceedings were Animesh Saxena (RSO), who served as an additional observer, and Anandeshwar Pandey, General Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association.

Nitin Kohli’s presence as the observer underscored Hockey India’s continued commitment to transparency and regional development, with Kohli reiterating the national body’s support for strengthening grassroots hockey in states like Uttar Pradesh.
