In a significant step toward strengthening local governance and ensuring faster delivery of civic services, Aam Aadmi Party’s Central Halka Incharge Jalandhar, Nitin Kohli, chaired a high-level meeting at the Municipal Corporation Office, Jalandhar. The meeting brought together Mayor Shri Vaneet Dhir, Senior deputy Mayor S. Balbir Singh , Commissioner Shri Gautam Jain, Councillors, Block Presidents, Ward in-charges, and officers from various departments to discuss critical issues affecting the city’s central areas. 

During the meeting, officers were directed to take immediate and time-bound action on all pending civic works. Commissioner Gautam Jain issued firm instructions to officials that every delayed project must be completed within set deadlines. Likewise, Mayor Vaneet Dhir emphasized the need to accelerate construction, repair, and maintenance-related tasks, especially in areas that have seen consistent delays.

Nitin Kohli played a pivotal role in creating a bridge between officers and public representatives by facilitating direct dialogue and coordination between Councillors ward in-charges, and department heads, ensuring smoother resolution of public grievances. Many concerns were addressed on the spot through active intervention. Speaking during the meeting, Nitin Kohli stated, “This is not just a routine meeting—it is a commitment to results. 

“People should not only hear promises but see visible work on the ground,” he added. The meeting was praised by all attendees for its result-oriented focus and timely decisions. 

Among those present were Dheeraj Seth, Tarun Sikka, Lagan Deep Singh, Parveen Pehlwan, , Balbir Singh Tutt, Happy Wadding, Tarandeep Sunny, Manmohan Raju, Love Robin, Ganga Devi, Kartik Sahota, Sonu Chadda, Ajay Chopra, Vijay Vasan, Nikhil Arora, Gurpreet Kaur, Jatin Gulati, Manish Sharma, Ashok Sabharwal, Manjeet Rawat, Harsh Kumar, and Rajiv Gill. Each representative shared detailed updates on issues within their wards and submitted priority lists for necessary action. 

The meeting concluded with a united resolution that all public grievances will be addressed urgently, pending works will begin without delay, and the development of Jalandhar’s central constituency will move forward with full transparency, coordination, and accountability.
