mind. What if water enters the phone?
The water can enter
your smartphone at any time. It could be while taking pictures or someone
throws water on you. But in any case, if this happens to you, the foremost
thing you should do is not to panic. We are here with some tips which you can
follow to save your phone gets wet in water.
You can use these tips
to dry your phone if gets wet in water. All you need to do is follow these
steps to save your phone from getting damaged.
1.
Turn off your phone:
If your phone gets
drenched in water, the first thing you need to do is turn it off immediately.
If the water gets into the interior while the phone is on, it can cause a short
circuit. Always remember if your phone gets wet, don’t try to check if it’s
working or not, just turn it off.
2.
Detach the accessories
from the phone:
After turning off your
phone, detach all the accessories connected with it. Separate the battery, SIM
card, memory card from the phone and keep them in a separate dry towel. If your
phone’s battery is non-removable then press the side button of the phone until
it turns off. There is a high risk of short circuits in non-removable battery
phones.

Dry the phone parts
with a napkin or towel:
After disassembling
all the parts, dry your phone’s parts with a napkin or a dry towel. Paper
napkins are the best as they soak the moisture very easily. One can also use a
soft towel to wipe the phone.
4.
Put the phone in dry
rice:
The most common and
useful trick to dry the internal parts of the phone is putting it in the dry
rice. You need to put the phone in dry rice for around 24 hours. The dry rice
will absorb the moisture rapidly. If any other accessory gets wet you can do
this trick with them too.
5.
Keep your phone off
for 24 hours:
Don’t turn on your
phone until it’s completely dry. Put your phone in a dry vessel for at least 24
hours so that the phone gets completely dry. Don’t try to on it for checking
whether it’s working or not until it is completely dry.
6.
Take it to your
service center:
After 24 hours, check
your phone. Power on the phone and if the phone is still not working then take
it to the service center. Never try to dry your phone with a dryer. The hot of
the dry will damage your mobile phone.
