In Punjab's Amritsar, a man killed his daughter and her lover by slitting their throats with a sharp object. The case involves an Honor killing. The accused went to the police station with bloodstained hands after committing the murder and surrendered.
It is said that first, the accused apprehended the loving couple in their home and brutalized them. Then they were given an electric shock, and when both of them were half dead, both of them were slashed with a sharp tool. This honor killing incident created a sensation throughout the area.
The victims are Jobandeep Singh (24), a resident of Kakad village, and Punpreet Kaur (22), a resident of Boparai Baman Singh village.

According to people, the suspects first abducted the loving couple from their home and brutally beat them up. Then they were shocked with electricity, and once both of them were half dead, they were both slashed with a sharp object. This honor killing incident created a sensation throughout the area.
The victims were identified as Jobandeep Singh (24), a resident of Kakad village, and Sukhpreet Kaur (22), a resident of Boparai Baj Singh village. Police have brought the bodies to the city for a postmortem. According to police, the investigation is still underway.
The couple were locals of the adjacent village.
As per Lopoke police station SHO Inderjit Singh, the villages of Boparai, Baj Singh, Amritsar, and Kakad are nearby. Jobandeep Singh, a youngster from Kakad village, was employed in digging soil close to Boparai Baj Singh, a girl named Sukhpreet Kaur. It was there that he met Sukhpreet.
Then, both of them began meeting, and a love affair grew between them. Their family members got to know about their love affair when both of them eloped from home on Sunday, June 1. The moment they heard about it, their family members began looking for both of them, but neither of them was traceable.
When they went to the marriage court, they were apprehended.
On Monday, Jobandeep and Sukhpreet went to the Amritsar court for the court wedding. A relative here identified him and told his family. Subsequently, the girl's family arrived at the location and took both lovers into confidence.
The family reassured the boy and the girl to get married. Both of them were convinced by the statements of their family members and agreed to return home. But the moment Jobandeep and Sukhpreet entered the house, they were arrested.
Love couple tortured to death
They both were beaten up and locked in a room by the villagers, as per them. Both of them were electrocuted; both of them were bleeding. Even if they had survived this torture, the father of the girl, Gurdiyal Singh Tejdhar
Both of them had their throats cut while bringing weapons.
The girl and the boy were left bleeding, and they were decapitated. When they also survived even this torture, the father of the girl, Gurdiyal Singh, arrived with a sharp knife and slit their throats.
People claim that Gurdiyal Singh roamed around on the streets with his hands and clothes soaked in blood. After attaining his senses, he surrendered at the Ramtirth post.
Police added, If somebody else was also involved, then they won't be left behind. In this case, outpost Ramtirth in-charge Rachpal Singh claims that the police reached the spot as soon as they received the news. The dead bodies were there. The accused had already surrendered. If anybody else was involved in the murder, he would also not be spared.
