Horrific! Raped by 400 people, minor becomes pregnant in Beed

On the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against nine persons in Ambajogai police station and four accused have been arrested. The investigation is underway.

A horrific incident has been reported from Ambejogai in Beed Maharashtra that would send shame to humankind. A minor married woman was raped by over 400 people in six months on the pretext of a job. Allegedly policemen have also sexually exploited the victim. 

Following the incident, the victim is said to be two months pregnant now, while taking cognizance of the heinous case, the Child Welfare Committee is initiating a process to abort the child.

The victim’s family work as labourers and her mother died two years ago. After the victim’s mother’s death, her father got her married in an arranged set-up. The victim lived with her in-laws for one-and-a-half years after the marriage, however, she returned to her mother’s place after repeated harassment from her father-in-law. After returning back, the victim reached Ambejogai town in search of a job, where she met two people from an academy. The victim alleges they raped her with the promise of giving her a job. 

The victim of her police complaint said that for the next six months she was repeatedly gang-raped by more than 400 different people. As a result of repeated rapes, the girl told the Child Welfare Committee that she is 20 weeks pregnant.

Earlier, the victim had gone to Ambejogai town police to complain. The police didn’t take any action and on the contrary, the victim was raped by the policemen who were on duty 

Policemen involved in the case has stirred outrage in the Beed district. Meanwhile, Beed District Superintendent of Police R Raja has ordered a strict investigation of the matter.
