Most loved Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s movie Radhe:Your Most Wanted Bhai released on May 13 on the eve of Eid. Earlier the moviewas scheduled to release in Cinemas however, due to an unprecedented second waveof virus it got released on the digital platform
The movie directed by Prabhu Deva premiered on ZEE5today. Notably, few hours after the release, the servers of ZEE5 crashed aspeople flooded on the platform to stream the movie.
ZEE5 Premium took to the micro-blogging site to assure thefans of Salman that the issue would be resolved soon. They also thanked thefans of Khan for showing much love towards the release of Radhe.
“Thank you for theunprecedented love, will be back soon,” read the tweet.
It may be noted here that the servers crashed at aroundnoon after 1.25 million people tried to log in to ZEE5. However, the issue waslater fixed.
Pertinently, Salman’s Radhe is the first mega Bollywoodfilm released on multiple platforms simultaneously. Radhe has beenreleased in theatres overseas and in India along with ZEE5’s pay per viewZeePlex, DTH services, including Dish TV, D2H, Tata Sky, and Airtel Digital TV.
Amidst the crisis, Salman Khan was worried about losingmoney ath the box office with Radhe. He said, “We will lose money at the boxoffice with Radhe. The reason why we are releasing this film is for the fans. Idon’t want them to come to a theatre to watch me. I don’t want ki kal ko koibole ki Salman Khan ke fans ko coronavirus hogaya ya unhone faila diya. I amglad Zee also was ready to take losses along with us.”
However, after the issue was resolved, ZEE5 shared the news ofTwitter and wrote, ”Your love for #Radhe has been overwhelming. As promised, weare back with a bang! Watch "Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai" with#RadheOnZEE5 #RadheOnZEEPLEX.”
The movie stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and JackieShroff in significant roles. As of now, Radhe has received a mixed responsefrom the audience as some are calling it like a breather in these stressful times,while others call it a mere waste of time.
