Amid the murmurs that he may rejoin the INDIA alliance, Chandrababu Naidu refuted all the claims and extended his letter of support to Narendra Modi backing him as the Prime Minister of India. As per reports, a company founded by Chandrababu Naidu has made significant gains after his party TDP performed well in the Lok Sabha and Andhra assembly elections. The shares of Heritage Foods have amped up 55 percent in the last five days, leading to a rise of Rs 535 crore for Chandrababu Naidu's wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari. Nara Bhuvaneshwari is a promoter in the company. Reports further suggest that Heritage Foods' stock was trading at Rs 424 on June 3, hours before the election results were announced. Then a few days later, the Heritage Foods share reached Rs 661.25.
Chandrababu Naidu founded Heritage Foods in 1992. The company's website describes it as "one of the fastest growing public-listed companies in India". Heritage Foods have two business divisions - dairy and renewable energy. Currently, Heritage's milk and milk products have a market presence in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Odisha, NCR Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
As per reports, Nara Bhuvaneshwari is the top shareholder of Heritage Foods and holds 2,26,11,525 stocks, on the other hand, Naidu's son Lokesh also holds 1,00,37,453 shares of Heritage Foods. Apart from Chandrababu Naidu' wife, his son Lokesh's net worth also rose by Rs 237.8 crore.
TDP's performance in Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and Andhra Pradesh polls
The TDP won 16 of the 17 seats it contested and was instrumental in the NDA winning the elections. In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls, the TDP emerged as the leader with 135 seats followed by Janasena with 21 seats and the BJP with eight seats, while the YSRCP trailed behind with 11 seats.
