In an absolute shocker, Delhi Commission for Women Chief Swati Maliwal made heart-wrenching revelations about her childhood. A video of Swati Maliwal went viral from DCW International Women's Day Awards ceremony where she was seen revealing some shocking facts about her father.

Delhi Commission for Women Chief Swati Maliwal stated that she was sexually assaulted by her father during childhood. She further added that he used to beat her up because of which she used to hide under the bed. She also said that her father used to hit her without any reason and did not care even if she used to bleed. Swati Maliwal in the end said that she was scared of her father whenever he used to come home. Swati Maliwal while interacting with media said, “I was sexually assaulted by my father when I was a child. He used to beat me up, I used to hide under the bed.” This statement of Swati Maliwal has put everyone in utter state of shock as she has not openly come out and spoken about the same in past.

For the unversed, DCW International Women's Day Awards took place on Saturday to felicitate the winners of this ceremony. Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal was invited as the Chief Guest. The awards were given to those people who have shown extraordinary courage and commitment towards women in the society.

During the awards function Arvind Kejriwal stated that all the days in a year should be dedicated to women. He added that seeing 104-year-old and 106-year-old women being felicitated really makes him believe that age is just a number. He further congratulated everyone for winning the awards.
