On Thursday, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)Kharagpur has planned to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) on 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th February2022. As per the recent statements, it is stated that 2 papers will beconducted, and the subjects for each of them are GE (Geomatics Engineering) andNM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering).
“The two new papers will provide direct benefits to ourgraduates in these two areas, especially when the country needs human resourceswith advanced capabilities in shipbuilding industries and geo-informatics. Further,the GATE is fast acquiring a brand value and foreign universities are alsoutilizing the scores for their admission,” said VK Tewari, Director ofIIT-Kharagpur in the press conference.

The mode of examination will be online i.e. computer-based. The duration of the exam conduction will be 1 hour 30 minutes. The numbersof centers allocated for the GATE 2022 exam conduction are 195.
