IMD puts Punjab on 3-day heavy rainfall alert from July 15; Check districts

The majority of the districts of Punjab are witnessing isolated rainfalls and not incessant rain.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), before the start of July 2025, had predicted that North India, including Punjab, would witness above normal rainfall. Monsoon in Punjab was expected to be stronger after the advent of Saawan 2025. However, the majority of districts of Punjab are witnessing isolated rainfalls and not incessant rain. 

In the meantime, IMD Chandigarh on Tuesday made a new Punjab Rainfall Prediction. As per the prediction, multiple districts of Punjab will witness 3 days of heavy rainfall. Continue reading below to know about the district and date-wise Punjab Rainfall Prediction-

  • July 15- Fazilka, Muktasar, Bathinda, and Mansa
  • July 16- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Fazilka, Muktasar, Bathinda
  • July 17- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar
  • July 18- No Alert
  • July 19- No Alert

Punjab Temperature

As per IMD Chandigarh daily temperature readings, Rupnagar was the hottest on July 14 at 37.9°C. Amritsar was 30.4°C, Ludhiana- 30.8°C, Pathankot-33.8°C, Bathinda- 28.6°C, Faridkot- 29.5°C, Gurdaspur- 29.5°C, etc.
