Monsoon season has been prevailing across the northern region of the nation. Various states of the region have been witnessing episodes of very heavy to moderate rainfall recently. However, the Indian Meteorological Department, abbreviated as IMD, has announced that Punjab will witness some rainfall during the upcoming days.
The detailed weather forecast by the Department is as follows -

Expectedly, the border regions of Punjab witnessed very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds. However, the remaining districts witnessed heavy to moderate rainfall. According to the chart shared by IMD, the areas that witnessed very heavy rainfall are Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Taran Tarn, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Kapurthala, Muktsar, Fazilka, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, Rupnagar and Mohali.

Friday
The intensity of rainfall will reduce to moderate and less on Friday in the majority of the regions of the state. The regions that will be witnessing heavy to moderate rainfall include Taran Tarn, Ferozepur, Moga, Faridkot, Fazilka, and Muktsar.

Saturday
July 12 will be dry, and it is expected that no area or district of Punjab will witness rainfall.
July 13, 2025
Sunday
Maximum of the state will witness isolated to few rain spells, but Pathankot and Hoshiarpur might witness heavy to moderate rainfall.
July 14, 2025
Monday
Maximum of the state will witness isolated to few rain spells, but Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Nawanshahar, Rupnagar, and Hoshiarpur might witness heavy to moderate rainfall.
