Income Tax raid on SAD MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali’s house in Ludhiana

More than 60 personnel of Income Tax department reached village Ayali 6 AM today.

Income Tax Department on Tuesday conducted a raid at the residence of Shiromani Akali Dal leader and party MLA from Mullanpur Dakha, Manpreet Singh Ayali. More than 60 personnel of Income Tax department reached village Ayali at 6 AM today.

 

Income tax teams are present in the house as well as in the farmhouse and all the offices and are being checked regularly. Central security forces are deployed around the residence of Ayali.

 

During 2017 state Assembly elections, HS Phoolka from Aam Aadmi Party won the elections from Dhaka Constituency. Later on, he resigned from the post. Due to which a by-election was conducted in which SAD Leader Manpreet Singh Ayali became the MLA, defeating Sandeep Sandhu.

 

His name is once again nominated for the Punjab Assembly elections scheduled to be held next year.

Manpreet Singh Ayali remained President of Co-operative Society, Ayali Khurd from 1999 to 2009; Chairman, Zila Parishad Ludhiana from 2007 to 2013; Awarded as Best Zila Parishad Chairman, Ludhiana in 2013; Member, Served as Punjab Pollution Control Board from 2008 to 2013; Participated in various meetings of the party and also attended meeting of Planning Commission in Delhi; committed to the cause of social service in the constituency; Served as Member of various Committees of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Presently, Member of Public Undertakings Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the year 2019-20.
