The fifth day of the first Test in Chennai between India and England continues. England gave India a target of 420 runs. In reply, India have scored 170+ runs losing 7 wickets. Captain Virat Kohli and Shahbaz Nadeem are at the crease. Virat marked the 24th fifty of his Test career.
Ravichandran Ashwin was dismissed by 9 runs. He shared 54 runs for the 7th wicket with Kohli. India still needs 250+ runs to win. England had scored 578 runs in the first innings and 178 runs in the second innings. Whereas, Team India had scored 337 runs in the first innings.
Talking about some facts which have emerged from this test match is James Anderson giving a nightmare to India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane. Fast bowler James Anderson has taken 3 wickets in this innings so far using the reverse swing. He took 2 wickets off three balls of the 27th over. He first bowled cleanly to Shubman Gill (50 runs) and then Ajinkya Rahane (0).
