India would celebrate 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2021. The central government would honor those who have made a sacrifice to free India from the British Raj. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would unfold the national tricolor flag and would address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi. It is for the eighth consecutive time that Narendra Modi would address the nation as Prime Minister of India. Expectedly, his speech would begin at 7:30 am. 

Due to Covid-19 crowd would not gather at the Red Fort. Olympians, who had made India proud at Tokyo Olympics, would witness the flag hoisting live at Red Fort as the chief guests of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
