An employee of tech giant Infosys named Mujeeb Mohammed was on Friday arrested by the Bengaluru Police after he wrote a Facebook post, urging people to ‘go out and sneeze’ to spread the highly-contagious coronavirus infection that has thus far infected over 700 people in India, 17 of whom have died.

The company clarified its stand in a series of tweets. The social media post by the Mujeeb is against Infosys’ code of conduct and its commitment to responsible social sharing. Infosys has a zero-tolerance policy towards such acts and has accordingly, terminated the services of the employee,” the tweet further stated.
