Internet services shut in parts of Delhi after protesters run amok, police fires tear gas shells

Farmers agitating in Delhi have been cane-charged and tear gas shells have been fired by the police after some sections of the protesters run amok and hoisted two flags one belongs to a farmers' union and another one a religious symbol.

Home ministry has suspended the internet to contain the protests. The situation has become very tense. Reportedly, the internet has been shut at Tikri border, Singhu protest site and at Nagloi in Delhi.

Farmers are angry because they say the three laws passed by the government are said to be anti-farmers. Farmers allege that the laws give power to the corporate houses while render the poor farmers power-less.

It is to be noted here that the police had barricaded at some parts of the areas. The farmers entered central Delhi and in Red fort to mark their protest.

The situation became upset when the farmers started breaking the barricades in the morning while the police cautioned them against moving or marching ahead.
